Marketing Strategy & Operations Manager (Budget & Spend)
1. Budget Planning & Allocation
- Partner with Marketing leadership and Finance to develop and manage annual and quarterly marketing budgets
- Translate strategy and priorities into clear budget allocation across programs, teams, and investments
- Support reallocation of budget throughout the year based on performance and changing priorities
2. Spend Visibility & Governance
- Establish and maintain centralized visibility into marketing spend (budget vs. actuals) across all teams
- Ensure consistent tracking of program, vendor, and operational spend
- Drive financial discipline through clear processes, reporting, and governance
3. Investment Effectiveness & ROI
- Partner with Performance Ops to connect spend to outcomes (pipeline, performance, ROI)
- Develop and maintain frameworks to evaluate marketing investment effectiveness
- Generate insights to inform tradeoffs, prioritization, and optimization decisions
4. Vendor & Procurement Management
- Oversee vendor onboarding, contract tracking, and spend commitments
- Ensure alignment with procurement policies while minimizing friction for marketing teams
- Identify opportunities to optimize vendor portfolio and reduce inefficiencies
5. AI & Efficiency Opportunities
- Support evaluation of AI investments relative to traditional spend (e.g., agency vs. AI tools)
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, AI, and process improvements
- Contribute to building a more scalable, cost-efficient marketing operating model
