This week, Omnissa signed the CISA’s Secure by Design Pledge. This voluntary commitment focuses on the security of enterprise software and services, including SaaS (software as a service), on-prem software, and cloud services.
The product development, engineering, and other teams who make our solutions appreciate this opportunity to collaborate with CISA to secure and deliver SaaS environments. Omnissa has always designed products and solutions with security in mind. Our teams are committed to best practices including the systematic disclosure of vulnerabilities in our products, and the related policies and processes that govern vulnerability disclosure. We’ve recently launched AI nutrition labels to transparently share standardized information about how AI is used in our products and services.
By participating in the Secure by Design Pledge, Omnissa gains a third-party framework and criteria to measure against, in addition to our internal standards that incorporate industry best practices. Adoption of the CISA Secure by Design Pledge includes the acceptance of specific goals, some of which have already been attained here at Omnissa. The list of goals includes heightened use of MFA; the reduction of default passwords; reduction of entire classes of vulnerability; the acceleration of security patch adoption; the adoption of vulnerability disclosure policies; and the increased ability to gather evidence of cybersecurity intrusions.
Our objective has always been to unify people, processes, and technologies to deliver secure, end user friendly work experiences. One way we do this is with Workspace ONE, our unified endpoint management solution that helps IT managers keep devices secure and up to date, wherever these devices may be. We also make it easy for organizations to securely deliver information and applications to endpoints with Horizon virtual desktops and apps. Additionally, we provide Security and Compliance solutions including risk-based secure access; endpoint risk assessment and remediation; and ecosystem interconnections with best-in-class security products and services.
The security of our products is at the top of the list. Omnissa believes that the key to success in secure design involves quality processes, the rapid sharing of information, and the ability to immediately respond to issues. You’ll see this in the way we create and support the Omnissa products that our customers use, from product design to implementation in production environments. Omnissa solutions are designed to work well with other platforms, with signal sharing and response coordinated across an organization and its assets.
Omnissa Workspace ONE and Omnissa Access include SSO and core MFA capabilities within the products. We can tailor the delivery of applications and resources to end users, while also limiting exposure through zero-trust architecture. This not only reduces attack surfaces to strengthen security but also delivers better end-user experiences, providing people what they want, when they need it.
Security calls us to rise above individual solutions and to create and test systems that raise awareness and response across the boards. Better information flows enable easier investigations and response, and help our customers realize more value from their existing IT and security investments.
Omnissa enthusiastically commits to the CISA Secure by Design Pledge.
