What is Omnissa Sovereign Solution for Workspace ONE?

Omnissa Sovereign Solution delivers market-leading Workspace ONE UEM to manage desktops, mobile, rugged, and specialty devices across every major operating system, through a certified partner that hosts, operates, and supports the environment within your own jurisdiction, on the same code base as our commercial cloud service.

Why sovereign delivery

Sovereignty that holds up to scrutiny

Jurisdiction, end to end

Your data, the team that operates it, the people who support it, and the contract itself all remain inside your borders with a certified local partner. Omnissa holds no access to the environment.

Current, not frozen

Sovereign deployments run on the same modern Workspace ONE UEM code base as our commercial cloud service, so your teams work with current capabilities rather than an aging on-premises release.

Operated locally, on your behalf

A certified partner deploys the platform, runs day-to-day operations, and holds the support relationship in country, helping you meet specific mandates without building that capability yourself.

Capabilities

Sovereign by design, simple to operate

In-country hosting

Hosted on compliant infrastructure within your borders, with end-to-end encryption and native Bring-Your-Own-Key so your organization holds its own encryption keys.

Local operations and support

Operated by a certified local entity and its in-country employees, with technical support provided in market and no Omnissa access to the environment at any point.

A contract within your borders

You contract with your local partner rather than a global software vendor, which helps simplify sovereignty audits and limits exposure to foreign terms of service.

Continuous configuration compliance

Desired State Management enforces your configuration continuously rather than checking it periodically, helping correct drift as it occurs instead of surfacing it at audit.

Shared administration, retained oversight

A dual administration model gives partner and customer administrators separate, policy-driven privileges, so your team retains oversight without taking on daily operations.

Who it is for

Built for organizations public cloud cannot serve

For organizations where a legal mandate rules out traditional, cloud-hosted SaaS, sovereign delivery helps keep modern endpoint management within reach.

Government and public sector

Meet national procurement and sovereignty requirements with an environment operated in your own country by a certified local partner, with no foreign vendor access.

Regulated industries

Financial services and healthcare organizations can address sector rules on data location and access while running the same platform as our commercial cloud service.

Critical infrastructure and defense

Helps reduce concentration risk and foreign legal exposure across energy, utilities, transport, and defense estates, without stepping back on device management functionality.

Modernizing from on-premises

Modernize from an on-premises release and gain continuous delivery of new capabilities, elastic scale, and modern architecture, all without your data leaving the country.

LOCAL DELIVERY PARTNERS

Delivered by certified local partners

The Omnissa Sovereign Solution for Workspace ONE is available exclusively through certified local partners. You purchase the complete service, including licenses, hosting, and support, from the partner rather than from Omnissa.

FAQS

Common questions about sovereign delivery

Residency describes where data is stored. Sovereignty concerns which legal jurisdiction governs it and who can be compelled to disclose it. A vendor can offer residency and still be subject to the laws of its home country, which is why sovereignty demands that the service operating entity, the support organization, and the contract sit inside the jurisdiction, not only the data.

OSS is a partner-led service model for a sovereign deployment of Workspace ONE UEM, the industry-leading unified endpoint management product from Omnissa. Compared to SaaS options directly from Omnissa, OSS differs in that a qualified local partner is hosting, operating, supporting, and contracting the service.

A certified local partner hosts the environment, runs day-to-day operations, and provides technical support in the market. Omnissa does not manage the software stack and holds no access to the customer environment.

With the certified partner, not with Omnissa.

Unlike an on-premises solution where the software and corresponding updates are managed by the customer, a partner-led OSS service tracks the update and feature release cadence of the Workspace ONE UEM commercial cloud service. Customers therefore are entitled to the latest and most advanced UEM offering and not tied to a forked or frozen self-managed environment.

Yes. Where an organization already holds certified, in-country capacity, the partner can operate the platform on that infrastructure. Scale and commercial considerations differ from the partner-hosted model, so this is assessed per engagement.

Because the partner-led OSS service is built upon Workspace ONE UEM, a customer’s existing UEM configurations, policies, and integrations can be carried across rather than being rebuilt. A certified OSS partner scopes and runs the migration, and can start before the April 30, 2027 end of support date.

A partner-led OSS service currently supports:

  • Workspace ONE for end-user devices (includes Workspace ONE UEM, Omnissa Access, Workspace ONE Tunnel, Workspace ONE Assist, and Workspace ONE for Server Management)
