Delivering AI-ready workspaces with Omnissa Horizon

The conversation about AI in the enterprise has largely been centered around questions like which LLM to pick, which copilot to deploy, and which line-of-business workflows can be automated. Organizations are also facing another question of equal importance: does our workspace infrastructure support secure, scalable work in an agentic world?  

That’s where Omnissa Horizon comes in, helping organizations deliver secure AI-ready workspaces for humans and agents, at scale. Horizon offers secure isolation through virtual desktops and apps, providing a contained, auditable environment for any user or agent performing sensitive tasks. At Omnissa ONE 2026, we’re introducing new innovations to further enable Horizon as secure, governed AI infrastructure for human and agentic work.  

What's New at Omnissa ONE 

We’re excited to share several updates that help organizations boost productivity with AI-ready workspaces, without compromising on cost or security.  

Introducing Horizon Delegate: improve end user productivity while taking advantage of VDI resources 

Horizon Delegate gives any Horizon user the ability to delegate tasks to their own persistent, autonomous agent inside their VDI session. The agent, which you can think of as your “digital twin” in VDI, improves an end user’s productivity by executing tasks on the user’s behalf, in a secure VDI session. Tasks can be delegated from anywhere, including from remote and mobile settings. Need to step away from your VDI session but need to execute a task that relies on sensitive data only accessible inside your network? Delegate the task to your AI agent in your VDI session!  

End users use the familiar Horizon Client to delegate tasks through a chat interface. Prompting flows from the Horizon Client to the agent through a secure communications channel, ensuring prompts never travel outside a governed environment. Horizon Delegate is expected to be in limited availability in Horizon 2609.  

New app packaging agent automates app packaging process, reducing cost and time  

App Volumes already makes app packaging easy for IT and now we’re introducing a new app packaging agent that takes that further with full automation. This autonomous agent continuously discovers app updates and creates app packages automatically based on approvals from IT.   

For teams that spend significant cycles on application lifecycle management, this is a direct reduction in cost and time associated with manual, error-prone app packaging processes. The agent handles the detection, preparation work, and packaging, shrinking the time between an app update being available and it being deployable. Faster app updates improve security as patches can get deployed to endpoints quicker, for both virtual desktops and physical PCs. The app packaging agent is expected to be beta in App Volumes 2609.  

Omnissa Cloud PC: secure, cloud-hosted PCs for any worker  

Omnissa Cloud PC is a new turnkey service that delivers PCs on any cloud. Cloud-hosted Horizon desktops are managed through Workspace ONE UEM to reduce management costs and deliver a premium end user experience. Organizations benefit from choosing the desktop model they want, on the cloud they want, at a fixed price. Different types of workers can work in their PC in any cloud from anywhere, for example: 

• Task workers – use a small desktop instance type, which doesn’t require apps that are as CPU and memory-intensive, for users who tend to perform repetitive tasks.  
• Knowledge workers – use a medium desktop instance type for users who typically perform work on more CPU and memory-intensive apps.  
• Power users – use a large, or even an extra-large desktop instance with vGPU, for users who use graphics-intensive apps. This can include AI development for experimentation, training, and testing.  

The era of agentic work is here and as AI moves from assistants that advise to agents that act, the infrastructure underneath matters more than ever. Horizon meets organizations at this inflection point by offering secure, governed, high-performance workspaces where humans and agents can work side by side without IT losing visibility or control.
