You will work extensively with virtualization technologies, private cloud stacks, and modern infrastructure-as-code (IaC) pipelines.

This is a hands-on position requiring deep technical expertise in Linux, virtualization, and networking. You will be part of a team responsible for high-availability systems, meaning active participation in an on-call rotation (including weekends and evenings) is a mandatory requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Virtualization & Cloud Management: Architect, deploy, and manage private cloud environments using Broadcom vCF, vCloud Director, Apache CloudStack, XCP-ng, and Linux KVM.

  • Omnissa Horizon VDI Support: Design, deploy, manage, and support the Omnissa Horizon VDI environment, ensuring optimal performance and user experience for virtual desktop infrastructure.

  • Kubernetes Administration: Deploy, manage, scale, and support Kubernetes (K8s) clusters in production environments, ensuring high availability and security.

  • Storage Engineering: Administer and optimize distributed storage solutions, with a strong focus on Ceph clusters, as well as traditional enterprise storage systems like Dell PowerScale and Dell PowerStore.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Configuration: Automate provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, and Salt.

  • Network Services: Manage core network services including KEA DHCP, complex network topologies, VLANs, routing, and firewalls within virtualized environments.

  • System Administration: Maintain and troubleshoot Linux environments (specifically Rocky Linux and Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments at scale.

  • Incident Response: Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve critical infrastructure incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to SLAs.

  • Service Management: Utilize the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence) for incident tracking, change management, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, or a similar role in a high-availability environment.

  • Kubernetes Expertise: Critical skillset in deploying, managing, scaling, and supporting Kubernetes clusters.

  • Virtualization Mastery: Proven hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/vCF, vCloud Director, KVM, XCP-ng, Omnissa Horizon, and Apache CloudStack.

  • Operating Systems: Deep knowledge of Linux internals (specifically Rocky Linux and Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration.

  • Storage: Strong proficiency in Ceph, plus basic knowledge of traditional storage systems like Dell PowerScale and PowerStore.

  • Automation: Demonstrated ability to write production-grade code in Terraform, Ansible, and Salt.

  • Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, SDN, and management of KEA DHCP.

  • Tooling: Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for ITSM workflows.

Success Attributes

  • Reliability: Willingness to support critical systems during non-standard hours (nights/weekends).

  • Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose complex issues across the full stack (compute, storage, network) under pressure.

  • Continuous Learning: A proactive approach to mastering new open-source technologies and virtualization platforms.

Why Join Us?

  • Work with a diverse, cutting-edge technology stack (VMware, KVM, Xen, CloudStack, K8s).

  • Opportunity to influence the architecture of mission-critical private cloud infrastructure.

  • Collaborative environment that values technical excellence and automation.
