We’re excited to announce that Omnissa was positioned as a Leader in four recent IDC MarketScape vendor assessments for the unified endpoint management (UEM) market. Click the links below to download excerpts of the reports to see why we believe the IDC MarketScape positioned us as a Leader!
- IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Unified Endpoint Management Software 2025–2026 Vendor Assessment (IDC #US53003125, December 2025) — a Leader for the seventh time!
- IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Unified Endpoint Management Software for Frontline/IoT Devices 2025–2026 Vendor Assessment (IDC #US53003325, December 2025) — a Leader for the seventh time!
- IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Unified Endpoint Management Software for Apple Devices 2025–2026 Vendor Assessment (IDC #US53003225, December 2025) — a Leader for the fourth time!
- IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Client Endpoint Management Software for Windows Device Management 2025–2026 Vendor Assessment (IDC #US53002925, December 2025) — a Leader for the second time since the report’s debut last year!
This year’s IDC MarketScape for UEM noted, “The convergence trend is further shaped by a growing emphasis on security, compliance, digital employee experience (DEX), and integration. Enterprises increasingly demand interoperability of UEM tools with adjacent system infrastructure — including identity and access management (IAM), endpoint security, security information and event management (SIEM), IT asset management, and business applications. Modern UEM must not only provide deep policy and provisioning control but also deliver actionable analytics, support for granular conditional access, and have the ability to measure and optimize user productivity, device health, and software performance over time.”
We believe the IDC MarketScape recognized Omnissa as a Leader in all four assessments because of our Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management platform. The IDC MarketScape for UEM Software noted, “The company was established in 2024 as a standalone entity after being spun out in the wake of VMware's acquisition by Broadcom in 2023. Omnissa's core product offering is Workspace ONE unified endpoint management, which supports comprehensive device life-cycle management, security, and user experience capabilities across a wide range of enterprise devices — including Windows PCs, Apple Macs, iPhones, iPads, Android endpoints, Chromebooks, IoT devices, and frontline/ruggedized endpoints.”
Workspace ONE is the industry’s first UEM solution with an integrated data lake, AI/ML engine, and low-code workflow orchestrator to fuel smarter endpoint management across the entire workspace environment. Built on a modern SaaS architecture, Workspace ONE can support world-class organizations across all industries at unparalleled scale. By uniquely integrating UEM with DEX, virtual desktop (VDI) and apps, and security and compliance solutions, Workspace ONE enables smart, seamless, and secure work experiences from anywhere.
“Consider Omnissa’s Workspace ONE UEM when device management consolidation, operational automation, and cross-platform experience optimization are key priorities—especially for organizations seeking to manage a diverse fleet of endpoints across global locations, integrate with leading enterprise IT and security platforms, and benefit from future-focused innovation driven by AI, analytics, and open ecosystem extensibility.” – IDC MarketScape: Worldwide UEM Software 2025 Vendor Assessment
Key observations and Workspace ONE innovations
We believe Workspace ONE’s advancements across the segments noted in this year’s IDC MarketScape assessments reflect a strategic vision toward enabling autonomous workspaces, with the report noting how our solution “emphasizes automation and AI-driven management, helping organizations move toward self-configuring, self-healing, and self-securing workspaces.” Through the integration of generative AI, a modern microservice-based architecture, and a comprehensive support framework for a wide range of devices and operating systems, Workspace ONE is setting the pace for the future of enterprise device management, with enhanced scalability, performance, and user satisfaction.
Workspace ONE for frontline and IoT endpoints
To support a broader range of frontline and IoT use cases, we’re expanding our platform with native support for MQTT — a lightweight, scalable protocol that enables rapid integration of diverse device types. By adding this IoT foundation to our suite of applications, we’re unlocking powerful automation, advanced reporting, and seamless cross-device workflows. Printer support will roll out first, with broader IoT support to follow. We also introduced device-wide app usage insights, device utilization metrics (like awake versus asleep time since last boot), and app performance indicators (like data and battery consumption) — giving frontline organizations a clear view into whether a device is being used, how it’s being used, and the operational impact of those apps. Together, these metrics enable smarter legacy app decisions (i.e., whether to maintain or end-of-life), license optimization, and improved performance across your devices. We’ve also made improvements to Workspace ONE Launcher with enhanced customization options (when it comes to section labels, folder icons, and interactive widgets) and support for SSO into MSAL-enabled apps (like Teams and Outlook).
Workspace ONE for Apple devices
At Omnissa, we’re committed to providing same-day support for Apple’s latest releases across all supported platforms and devices, including macOS, iOS, and visionOS. As part of our comprehensive same-day readiness, we’ve added advanced configuration options, improved compliance controls (including blocking specific apps and processes from running on managed Macs), and enhanced automation capabilities. In addition, we ensure same-day support for Workspace ONE apps on Apple’s latest releases. In the past year, we’ve also added support for Apple declarative device management (DDM) for iOS and macOS, Managed Device Attestation for iOS/iPadOS and macOS devices, and Return to Service for iOS/iPadOS and tvOS devices. Earlier this year, we also launched Omnissa Freestyle Orchestrator for mobile so organizations can create complex, conditional workflows and automate deployment of apps, enforce security policies, and manage configurations on both iOS and macOS devices.
Workspace ONE for Windows devices
Omnissa has completely reimagined Windows management by shifting reliance on OMA-DM to a next-gen “agent-based” approach. With this new approach, Workspace ONE UEM will run independently alongside existing PC management tools, allowing organizations to migrate apps, profiles, and policies to Workspace ONE UEM at their own pace and establish their own path to cloud-native Windows management. With the new Workspace ONE Server Essentials offering currently in limited availability, IT teams have full lifecycle management for onboarding, configuration, server apps and updates, inventory tracking, and remote support at a lower cost than legacy server management tools. The new Onboarding Workflows powered by Freestyle Orchestrator—the no-code automation service in the Omnissa platform—shifts the focus from devices to user, enabling IT teams to deliver personalized, context-aware experiences from Day 0. We’ve also streamlined app management with an updated version of Enterprise Application Repository (EAR), which allows you to discover, configure, and deploy over 9,000 enterprise apps for Windows devices in Workspace ONE.
Conclusion
We believe Omnissa’s recognition as a Leader across four IDC MarketScape assessments reinforces our position as a trusted partner for global enterprises. With comprehensive cross-platform coverage, AI-driven automation, and an open ecosystem approach, Workspace ONE empowers organizations to simplify operations, strengthen security, and deliver exceptional employee experiences at scale. This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to innovation and customer success – helping businesses stay ahead in an increasingly dynamic digital world.
