Data should be an accelerant for your IT strategy, not a bottleneck. Since its release last year, Data Explorer has completely transformed how IT interacts with data from their Workspace ONE and Horizon deployments. And today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve added Omni-powered querying, which will enable IT to turn data into insights with natural language questions and commands. With full query details included in every response, users can refine, adjust, and explore further via Data Explorer.

Data Explorer provides an intuitive interface for querying data across all Omnissa Intelligence sources. Use it when you need rapid insights, aren’t familiar with the data schema, or want a simple way to answer common queries. Every query provides a comprehensive result set, including interactive charts, raw data details, and aggregated data tables — empowering IT to easily analyze data in whatever format best supports their decision making.

How does Data Explorer work?

When you’re looking for answers in Data Explorer, there are three easy ways to reach the same insight. Let’s say you want to see a list of all your enrolled devices that are non-compliant.

  • Method 1 — Use a template: If you’re not sure where to begin, templates offer the most direct path. Start in Data Explorer and search for a template that targets non‑compliant devices. Selecting the template builds the full query for you and immediately returns results, so you can confirm the list without any manual setup. If you want to refine the view, you can adjust the template output right away. For example, after Data Explorer gives us a list of all enrolled devices that are non-compliant, we can add “group by platform” to understand which operating systems are most affected by non‑compliance.
  • Method 2 — Manually build a query: You can also build the same query manually for complete control. Choose the data source as “Workspace ONE UEM” and “Devices” as the entity, then specify the conditions that reflect your scenario by setting enrollment status to “Enrolled” and compliance status to “Non‑compliant.” From there, you can shape the output to include the fields that matter and, if needed, aggregate and group by platform to spot patterns across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. Once your configuration is set, click “Run” to execute the query and review the results.
  • Method 3 — Ask a question in plain English with Omni: This is our latest enhancement and the easiest way to explore queries on the fly. With Omni‑powered natural language querying inside Data Explorer, you can simply type your request the way you’d say it. For example, “Give me a list of all enrolled devices that are non‑compliant.” The entire query and results will be automatically generated for you. Each query in the Data Explorer search bar is independent, allowing users to get more targeted results.

An interface designed for you

  • Save your results as widgets or reports right from Data Explorer
  • See your query structure and all results at once with a dual-panel layout
  • Adjust fields, groups, or aggregations at any time to change or customize your results
  • Expand query panes into full-canvas mode for maximum visibility and focus
  • Reference the built-in data dictionary to see what attributes or fields are available for a specific integration, ensuring queries are accurate from the first click

Getting started with Data Explorer

Data Explorer with templates and Omni is included with a premium Intelligence subscription. At launch, Omni supports our most critical data integrations: UEM, Horizon, and digital employee experience (DEX), with more integrations coming soon.

To access the Omni-powered option, ensure the “Data Analysis” role is enabled under Omni in Omnissa Connect. Once enabled, you will find the Omni-powered option ready for use. For more information on how to activate and get started with Omni, please refer to our Getting started with Omni guide.

Closing thoughts

We have reached a turning point. Data is no longer the limiting factor—it’s the force propelling your IT strategy. Whether you are using templates, manually building queries, or utilizing the new Omni-powered query builder, Data Explorer ensures that the gap between a critical question and a successful solution has vanished. The autonomous workspace is no longer a distant vision for the future—it is a conversation you can start today.
