What is the opportunity?
You will be joining a group of passionate innovators responsible for mobile applications family, an integral piece of our Workspace ONE platform. The applications are used from enterprise clients that hundreds of thousands of people depend on daily, installed on millions of mobile devices around the world.
As an Android engineer in this team you will work on a product that users see throughout their day, as they read and respond to email. You will work with highly motivated team in mobile technologies, who are eager to innovate everyday together with you. You will communicate on a regular basis with product management team and UI/UX team. Personal growth is important to us. We help and encourage our team to be constantly learning and staying up to date with the latest Android features, frameworks, and libraries. As part of this team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across geographic locations to ensure product delivery & customer commitments are met on time.
What is the primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
You will join the team with established scrum and agile processes and a high standard for code quality. You will take ownership while participating in design, build, and test product features and components, while working with our security and UI/UX teams to ensure that Boxer is both secure and delightful to use. As an Android mobile engineer, you will participate in code reviews and architecture reviews for building a robust and scalable product.
Our products are critical to our customers, and you will cooperate with our support team to make sure our customers needs are met.
Perform analysis of complex tasks or situations that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
You will join an experienced mobile development team. At the beginning you will start with onboard for coding standard and work processes. Together with your direct manager, you will work on relevant trainings to continue building your professional skills. You will have the opportunity to learn while working.
During your first two months on the job, you will be expected to build your knowledge in the domain and the technology your team is already building. To do so, you will participate in the team’s scope and architectural discussion, work with the team and customers.
By the sixth month, we expect you to be in full control of the features you are working on. You would work with product management team to shape the product backlog, scope the projects working with your team members, and contribute with focus to deliver on time and with the expected quality
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing regularly?
You will be part of the planning meeting and grooming sessions to understand the customer need and technical challenges for your assignments.
You will participate in quality activities, like resolving customer issues, user experience, and ensuring security to ensure we deliver every monthly release with best-in-class product quality that users love.

Location Type: Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local Omnissa office and remote, depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager.
Product Technologies stack
For building the Android mobile apps, we are using: Kotlin, Java, RESTful APIs, Android SDK and different versions of Android
For engineering processes and productivity tools we use Atlassian suite / Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket /, Sonar Qube or code quality and Jenkins, Bamboo for CI/CD .
