What is the primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
As the Senior Physical Security Specialist, you will serve as the on-site subject matter expert (SME) for all physical security needs at the Omnissa Bangalore office. You will ensure seamless day-to-day security operations while coordinating closely with on-site security personnel and the Global Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) to maintain situational awareness and response readiness. This role requires strong operational oversight, stakeholder partnership, and the ability to translate global standards into effective local implementation. You will also act as the primary escalation point for incidents, ensuring timely coordination, response, and resolution across local and global teams.
Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6–12 months?
- First 90 days: Develop a deep understanding of site-specific risks, existing security programs, and vendor performance. Build strong relationships with on-site teams, PSOC operators, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- 6 months: Enhance site security operations through improved procedures, vendor accountability, and stronger coordination with the PSOC for incident monitoring and response. Ensure alignment with global security standards.
- 12 months: Establish a mature, efficient, and scalable security posture for the Bangalore office, with measurable improvements in risk reduction, operational consistency, and integrated global response effectiveness.
What type of work will you be doing?
- Act as the on-site SME for all physical security operations, policies, and procedures
- Oversee daily security operations including access control, badging, CCTV, and guard force management
- Coordinate closely with on-site security personnel and the Global PSOC to ensure continuous monitoring, incident detection, and response alignment
- Manage and hold security vendors accountable for performance, service delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations
- Conduct site-specific risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies aligned with global security programs
- Lead and coordinate incident response and investigations in partnership with the PSOC, ensuring proper documentation, escalation, and resolution
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Facilities, HR, IT, Legal) to address security concerns and support business needs
- Support audits, compliance efforts, and adherence to local regulations and corporate policies
- Provide training and awareness to employees on security protocols and best practices
- Contribute to global security initiatives by providing site-level insights, metrics, and improvement recommendations
- Support crisis management and business continuity efforts, coordinating with both local teams and global response functions

This role reports into the Threat Management organization and works closely with regional leadership and the PSOC. The environment is collaborative and fast-paced, with a strong emphasis on ownership, accountability, and proactive risk management. You will serve as the primary on-site security leader, supported by a global network of security professionals and centralized monitoring capabilities.
