What is the opportunity?:
As a Staff DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the modernization of our DevOps and SRE practices within Horizon Cloud, Omnissa’s cutting-edge Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) platform. You’ll drive infrastructure excellence across cloud-native environments, champion reliability engineering, and implement scalable, secure, and observable systems.
Here is a breakdown:

·       Lead and drive complex DevOps and SRE initiatives across Horizon Cloud’s global infrastructure 

·       Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD) 

·       Champion observability and logging best practices using Elastic Stack , Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry 

·       Design and manage infrastructure using Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools 

·       Spearhead DevOps modernization with GenAI-powered automation and SRE tooling 

·       Troubleshoot and manage Kubernetes clusters in production, ensuring high availability and performance 

·       Collaborate with Developers and build resilient, self-healing systems 

·       Own and evolve our Azure-based cloud infrastructure 

·       Write clean, maintainable code in Python to automate operations and improve developer experience 

·       Provide technical leadership and mentorship across DevOps and engineering teams 

·       Drive infrastructure security initiatives including WAF, firewalls, audit logging, and compliance support 


What will you bring to Omnissa? (List required / preferred skills)

  • Strong coding skills in Python or any other scripting languages
  • Deep expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and optimization using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD
  • Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools (GitHub, ArgoCD)
  • Hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience with Helm for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment
  • Expertise in public cloud platforms, preferably Azure
  • Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Advanced knowledge of logging, monitoring, and alerting systems
  • Hands-on experience with observability stacks: Elastic Stack (ELK), Prometheus, Grafana
  • Solid understanding of SRE principles
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, networking, and distributed applications
  • Proven experience in production engineering, incident response, and postmortem analysis
  • Strong security mindset with experience in infrastructure security: WAF, firewall configuration, audit logging, and compliance support

You’ll be expected to lead by influence, mentor engineers, and drive strategic decisions that improve scalability, resilience, and developer productivity.
